Simpsonville

Simpsonville is a small town located in the southern part of Greenville, SC.  Much like other towns located within the county, such as Fountain Inn, Greer, Mauldin, Travelers Rest, and Taylors, residents would typically say they live in their respective towns when asked.  Though all of these areas are really considered Greenville, each community tends to create their own identity with which local residents like to claim ownership.  Home to much of Greenville’s new home construction, the landscape of this part of the county has changed more in the past 20 years than any other.  From national home builders to local custom builders and developers, new subdivisions have been popping up on a constant basis for quite some time.  Though the recession definitely slowed this process down, Simpsonville still offers more opportunity for development due to the greater amounts of vacant land, and builders have certainly capitalized on this fact.  Like many areas throughout Greenville, home prices can range from well below the 100s to well over a million dollars.  The downtown area is also alive with revitalization and renewal and represents a nice place to visit and shop.  The booming commercial growth in the Fairview Road  and Woodruff Road areas also highlights the ever increasing size in the population that has taken place over that past few years.
